Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful Details About Custom Cabinets & Process

Q: What's the difference between custom cabinets and what I'd get at a big box store?
Stock cabinets come in fixed sizes and limited finishes. You’re fitting your kitchen around the cabinets. With custom, we build the cabinets around your kitchen. Every dimension, wood species, finish, and detail is made to your space and your preferences. The result is furniture-quality cabinetry that fits perfectly and lasts decades, not a decade.

It depends on the scope, wood species, finish, and complexity. A full kitchen typically runs between $15,000 and $50,000 We provide detailed estimates after a consultation so you know exactly what you’re getting before any work begins. No surprises.

Most kitchen projects take 6 to 10 weeks from design approval to installation. Smaller projects like vanities or closet systems can be faster. We’ll give you a clear timeline during the design phase and keep you updated throughout.

We work with a range of hardwoods including maple, cherry, walnut, white oak, red oak, and hickory. We also offer painted finishes on select species. If you have a specific wood in mind, let us know during the consultation.

Either way works. Many clients come to us with ideas from Pinterest, magazine photos, or sketches. Others have architect drawings. We handle the full design process, including measurements, layout, and detailed shop drawings for your review before we start building.
